iPad to Launch in 9 New Countries

ipadApple announced that the iPad would be released in nine new countries come this Friday. The countries include Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore. Consumers here could pick up the tablet in an Apple store or an authorized retailer. As of last month iPad had sold 3 million units in 80 days. Availability in new markets means it would only escalate sales.

iPad Is Going Places

iPad-LaunchAfter surpassing the one million sales figure in the US, Apple announced that it’s taking the iPad to nine new countries from May 28 on. There was a delay in the international launch owing to strong demand in the U.S. New International consumers can pre-order both the Wi-Fi and the 3G versions from May 10th , and country specific pricing and availability will be announced shortly by Apple.

Apple Share Price Hits an All Time High Prior to iPad Launch

iPad_PicPrior to the launch of iPad on April 3rd, Apple Inc (AAPL) stocks zoomed up to register its all time high, closing at a price of $232.39 yesterday. The intra-day trading price was slightly higher at $233.87. iPad has also shot up the hype cycle as all media, particularly the blogosphere going berserk with anticipation; and with investors rallying behind the company, its clearly indicative of the fact that most folks are bullish about the product.
