Zoho Unveils New CRM, Docs and Project Management Apps for iOS, Android
By: Prashanth Shantharam  |  26, March 2012

Zoho, a leading web-based productivity provider, has unveiled new apps for productive users on the go. Today at their Zoholics User Conference, Zoho added to their existing suite with CRM, Docs and Project related apps for both the iOS and Android platforms. With this announcement, Zoho has firmed up their mobile strategy and is a key focus area for the company this year.

CRM is now available on both platforms, with Docs joining the frey soon and Projects would be added to iOS pending Apple approval.

Here’s more on each application:

Zoho CRM enables company users to add and edit (both read and write) across customer information, accounts, leads, and more.

The Zoho Docs app permits company users to upload and share documents with co-workers and team members. Editing is currently not permitted for coworkers and team members. This would be a great feature that needs to be added as it would enable a group to collaboratively contribute to a document.

Zoho’s popular online project management service, is soon going to get its mobile counterpart with Zoho’s Projects app for iOS and Android. Company users can now use the native app to create and manage tasks and schedule, and share it across the team, without having to visit the website.

"Mobile is fundamentally reshaping how we as consumers spend from housing and healthcare to entertainment and travel, from food and drinks to communication and transportation. Mobile not only influences purchase behavior but also post purchase opinions. When the share button is literally a second away, consumers are willingly sharing more information than ever before. Mobile is thus helping close the nirvana gap for brands and advertisers who seek to connect advertising to actual transactions. The long-term battle is however for owning the context of the users. Having the best knowledge about the user to help drive the transaction is the simply the most valuable currency of commerce.” -- Chetan Sharma State of Global Mobile Industry Report1H, 2011
