Tablet Demand to Drive Up Global IT Spend

Gartner released its latest projections on global IT spend for the year 2011 and is expected to surge 5.6%, which in value terms is a jump from 3.4 Trillion USD in 2010 to 3.6 Trillion USD in 2011. Tablet demand is a one of the key causes for the upswing (7.5% to 9.5%) in the hardware spend projections for 2011.
